I forgot to circle back to the post and figure my numbers out. I suck.
I just estimated it without looking up the HP figures for the cars I owned years ago. I think I could have been in second place. I estimated 2800 HP. Average of 220 though, which isn't close to 2nd place .
Man Doug has had a lot of cars. And a ton of high power cars to average nearly 300HP!

My two cars combined aren't even one good car. Ouch! 92 hp Ford Tempo plus 116 hp Cavalier with the 5 spd. I knew my Cavalier was faster than my Tempo.

Well we have 40+ cars in the collection with a few race cars so the figure would be pretty high. We have a huge Volvo military truck that would have a considerable amount of HP as well, but its quite slow.

I totally missed this. D'oh. Here's my "me too." Boy, did I piss away a lot of money on cars.
1986 Buick LeSabre 150
1996 Mustang V6 150
1995 Corvette 300
1958 Corvette 200
1997 A8 300
1995 Cadillac El Dorado 275
1962 Corvair 80
2000 S4 290 (it was modified)
1995 Tahoe 200
1967 Coupe de Ville 340
1992 Range Rover 180
2003 Audi Allroad 250
2000 BWM M5 400 (357 at the wheels)
Ford Contour SVT 200
That's 3315, and we can bonus some more if we include hangars and spouses.
This is all stuff I drove. This doesn't include cars that my wife drives. We'd have to add in
2005 Volvo XC 90, 2004 Touareg, 2003 Audi Allroad, 2006 Honda Odyssey. I'm not including those for various reasons :D

(He gets to the 106 at the end, but everything - minus his issues with the gearbox - he says about the Citroen applies to it, too.)
I try, but I'm not quite as nuts as the rally guy. It's a brilliantly chuckable little car though - it, and its mechanically identical twin, the Citroen Saxo, were the best handling cars in their class - and the tiny engine means you can spend most of your time with your foot up against the firewall. It only weighs 1631 lbs, too, so even with just 59 horses it's not the slowest thing on the road.
I like it enough that, for my next car, I'm planning to just buy a more powerful version of what I've already got.
